Beautiful materials, simplistic design.
Throughout the project the Forest & Maker team were able to offer a hands on experience to the client, allowing them to see samples and a number of options for the tables design. In this instance, we combined a simplistic, contemporary aesthetic alongside the rustic material. The ‘A” frame base ensured this piece was extremely strong and durable, qualities that are essential in any office space.

Material sourcing
Having worked with Peldon Rose on their Jacada travel project, the Peldon team were keen to implement some of the materials found in this space into their new Wimbledon Office. For this solid timber Kitchen table we sourced 3 large Pippy Oak slabs from one of our Oak logs. Choosing three slabs from the same tree allowed us to tie the pieces together, allowing us to achieve the giant 1.6M width and a consistent colour match across the top.

Finishing
This table has now been finished on site in the same natural oil as found on other timber surfaces throughout the space. All splits, checks and crack in this commercial furniture piece have been filled, ensuring a smooth and practical surface for the Peldon team to enjoy over the coming years.
